The Campaign
Running a crowd sourcing campaign is new to me and everybody involved in Fjording. It required a lot of preparation up front, but mainly it has been interesting kind of work. Much to learn and lots of new stuff to tackle. I enjoy it.
Now we’ll have three weeks of promoting the campaign before the end date. Which is October 15th.
The minimum amount we need to raise - in order to finalize the funding round - is 1,5 mil. NOK.
The Party
Something I have done before is throwing a party. And although party fixing always creates some stress, it’s normally worth it. I definitely have a grateful feeling after the Fjording campaign kick off-party at MESH this Friday evening.
We gathered team members, friends, neighbors, existing investors, “soon to be-investors” and other curios and cheerful people for a short, informal pitch, some nice tapas, bartenders serving Fjording, beers and other refreshments - and cool music from skillful DJ Andre Bravo.
The numbers from the Folkeinvest-campaign were shown at a big screen, and by the end of the night, almost 950.000 NOK had been raised by nearly 70 investors. A very promising start for our campaign!
I’d like to thank everybody involved in making this evening so joyful! Both to those joining the MESH-party and to those who signed up to be future Fjording-investors from your homes.

(Edited October 30th: The Funding round proved to be successful and we ended up with 2,75 mill. NOK. Yay!).
